Nampa is a midsize city in southwestern Idaho at the base of the Boise Mountains. The population of nearly 90,000 residents enjoys unmatched access to outdoor recreation, a low cost of living and a diverse blend of industries that drives low unemployment. Living in Nampa

As one of the safest large cities in the United States, Nampa is a popular place to raise a family. Residents have access to 24 parks, two golf courses, and Nampa Recreation Center, which features six pools, three gyms, and various other exercise facilities.

Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge is located just outside Nampa. This breeding area for native plant and animal species offers opportunities for bird-watching, hunting, hiking, picnicking and fishing, swimming and boating in Lake Lowell.

You can catch your favorite teams and performers at the Ford Idaho Center, which includes an amphitheater, arena, sports center and horse park. The Snake River Stampede Rodeo, held here the third week in July, is one of the most highly-regarded events of its kind in the nation.

Nampa Schools

Nampa is home to three higher-education institutions: Stevens-Henager College, Northwest Nazarene University and the College of Western Idaho. Most K to 12 students are served by the Nampa Public School District, which comprises 15 elementary schools, four middle schools, and four high schools.
